Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how the WhiteOceanBook mobile application ("the app", "we", "our") handles information. WhiteOceanBook is an offline English vocabulary practice app for SSC, Banking and other government exam aspirants. Your privacy matters to us, and we have designed the app so that it works without collecting any personal data.
Information we collect
The app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. Specifically:
- No account, sign-up, email, or phone number is required to use the app.
- We do not collect your name, contacts, photos, location, or files.
- We do not use analytics or tracking tools inside the app.
- No personal data is sent from your device to us. Optional in-app purchases are handled by Google Play (see the "In-app purchases & payments" section below).
Data stored on your device
To make the app useful, some information is saved only on your own device (local storage):
- Your quiz progress and accuracy for each set
- Your bookmarked questions
- Your app preferences (such as dark mode)
- Whether you have unlocked Pro, and until when
This data never leaves your phone. It is not visible to us or anyone else. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes this data.
In-app purchases & payments
The app offers optional one-time in-app purchases (a "Pro" unlock that, for example, unlocks all question sets). Buying Pro is completely optional — the app is fully usable without any purchase.
- All payments are processed securely by Google Play. We never see, receive, or store your card, bank, UPI, or any other payment details.
- WhiteOceanBook does not collect or store any of your payment or billing information.
- Your Pro unlock is recorded only on your own device to enable Pro features. Google Play holds the official record of your purchase.
- Purchases are one-time (not auto-renewing) — nothing is ever charged automatically.
- When you make a purchase, Google processes the transaction under the Google Privacy Policy. Refunds and payment support are handled by Google Play.
Permissions
The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or storage files. It works fully offline and needs no special permissions to function.
Third-party services
Apart from Google Play (which processes optional in-app purchases as described above), the app does not integrate any third-party services that collect data. Question content, progress tracking, and all features run locally on your device.
Children's privacy
The app is an educational tool suitable for students and the general public. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the app collects no data at all, no child's personal information can be gathered through it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe otherwise, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
Data security
Because your data (progress, bookmarks, settings) is stored only on your device and never transmitted, there is no server-side data that could be exposed. We additionally follow Android best practices, such as disabling app data backup extraction, to keep your local data private to the app.
Data deletion
You are in full control of your data. All app data (progress, bookmarks, settings) is automatically and permanently deleted when you:
- Uninstall the app from your device, or
- Go to your phone's Settings → Apps → WhiteOceanBook → Storage → Clear Data (App info)
No request to us is needed, because we hold no copy of your data on any server. Records of any purchases are kept by Google Play and can be reviewed in your Google account.

The app or our website may contain links to external sites (for example, the Google Play Store page or our website). This policy applies only to the WhiteOceanBook app. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if new features (such as advertisements or in-app purchases) are added. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
